IC Training Centre initiated its Turing Scheme and organised its first trip to Barcelona on October 26, 2023, for a 21-day program, it involved a carefully curated itinerary blending educational, cultural, and practical experiences for the participants.

The trip might have included:

·         Language learning opportunities: Given that Barcelona is in a Spanish-speaking region, the program had included language classes or conversational sessions to enhance participants’ Spanish skills.

·         Networking and social activities: Events were designed to foster interaction among participants, allowing them to build connections, share experiences, and create lasting friendships.

·         Leisure and exploration: Free time for participants to explore the city, try local cuisine, and experience the vibrant lifestyle of Barcelona.

The 21-day duration had everyone allowed for a comprehensive experience, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of Barcelona’s culture, society, and professional landscape while enhancing their skills and broadening their perspectives.

This trip had been a transformative and enriching experience for the IC Training Centre participants, aligning with the objectives of the Turing Scheme to promote international opportunities and learning experiences for students.

Some of the highlights from the past year include gaining E-business of the year at the Newham chamber of commerce business award, achieving first place in positive mental health & well-being, and business growth in 2022. We want to celebrate this achievement with our community by hosting the best Christmas lunch!

To our students, we are amazed by your achievements this year, and we are very proud of you. To our staff and teachers, your dedication and commitment to IC Training shine through in all you do; we thank you for your hard work. In addition, we would like to thank our employers, governors and stakeholders.

A business expo is an organised exhibition so companies in a specific industry can showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services, meet with industry partners and customers, study the activities of rivals, and examine recent market trends and opportunities. Despite the internet’s marketing opportunities, this is nothing compared to face-to-face, which most business owners prefer. Another major advantage that IC training had doing the business expo was that our brand awareness went up because a lot of other businesses didn’t have an idea of IC training, did traineeship and how traineeship can help their business.

The business show was a huge success for the IC training team.

The Newham business awards is an annual event presented by the Newham chamber of commerce to recognize entrepreneurs and businesses for the success and prosperity they had in 2022. IC training was nominated for multiple awards and even sponsored an award. Getting nominated for 5 awards and winning 3 is a great honour. Winning one award is great but with 3 awards the whole IC training team is over the moon.
