Mental wellbeing is important!

Here at IC Training we believe it’s our responsibility to encourage and promote the mental wellbeing of our staff, students and visitors. In order to do this, one of our teachers, Fiona along with help from the team, has created a wellbeing board to keep us active and in good spirits. Here’s a video one of our digital marketers, Ben, made along with some of our staff performing tasks from our wellbeing activity board, and a short explanation from Fiona.

We have been keeping track of the many wellness activities our staff have been taking part in, and it has been wonderful to see. Look at the graphs below for a breakdown!

Wellness Chart 1

We have been analysing how and what our staff have been doing to stay healthy mentally and physically.  We have a total of 12 actions they can do. The person who did the most was Rabia (our tutor and IAG advisor) with 5 activities. The number of activities does not matter and it is not  a competition, however when… occasionally… it has been made into a competition, some people have found it more fun and this is no problem with us.

As you can see in the graph above we show the activities the people took part in. The highest activity is received a compliment. People might say this is something too simple but a compliment can go a long way and give people a big confidence boost, it will help them to know others are thinking about them, and improve their mental wellbeing. This is a wonderful example of what the board stands for; it is often more simple things people can do in their daily lives that make a big difference to their wellbeing.

If you are having difficulties with your current mental health and wellbeing we have a dedicated resources and information page, full of useful information and links.
